Winsome Dewar, RHN, RNCP is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.  She is the author of The Healthy Options Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Plan® and the host of Rogers TV’s cooking show – Cooking with Winsome.   The show focuses on helping the audience prepare healthy meals in minutes.  Guest chefs from some of the top local restaurants share their secrets and illustrate how a few modifications create lighter versions some tasty favorites.

Winsome is a dynamic public speaker and seminar leader, as well as a motivational nutrition counselor.

She is the president and owner of Healthy Options – a company she founded in 1996. At Healthy Options she specializes in developing and delivering nutritional balanced meal plans for weight loss, sports nutrition, and specific medical conditions.  Counseling is offered online via Skype, or in person through the company’s Mississauga office.   Counseling services and nutrition programs and seminars are also available through group sessions in the workplace, or other facilities.  The company’s corporate programs include on-site nutrition seminars, group weight loss counseling series, and blood pressure, cholesterol, or glucose screening clinics.

She is also the President of the Peel Chapter Council of The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario – helping the Foundation meet its fundraising and community education goals since 1997.

The Healthy Options Healthy Eating & Weight Loss Plan® has been featured in Chatelaine Magazine and The Toronto Star.

She has also written nutritional columns for The Mississauga Newsand Being Well Magazine, was a featured speaker at the first National Women’s Show in Toronto, and has appeared on several segments of Rogers TV Daytime Peel, promoting healthy eating for children and adults.

Civic Award of RecognitionAdditionally, she has worked with the Credit Valley Hospital as a nutritional consultant for their Schizophrenia Program.

Winsome was awarded a Civic Award of Recognition from the City of Mississauga for her volunteer work with the Heart & Stroke Foundation in June of 2010.
